Inflatable seals

An inflatable seal is made by an extruded
elastomeric or a moulded hose and it expands or retires by mean of an inflating material such as air, gas or another fluid, used to create the dilatation..

An inflatable seal is designed and studied to
expand up to a specific point, according to
geometry, dimensions and pre-defined strengths
to guarantee the required resistance, strength or
mechanical result.
They can be used to solve the problem of sealing
between two elements which move in relation one
to another and must be connected and
disconnected.

To ensure a tight sealing between two different environments and materials, to brake a movement, to ensure a sound proofing or a thermal insulation, to pressurize and for many other applications.

The inflatable gaskets are produced with high elasticity and tensile strength.
If they are located in predefined seats, its expansion is “limited” and therefore they are protected against the risk of exploding.

If they are not used in a seat, its behaviour and working pressure have to be evaluated and studied..

The valves used for injecting the expansion fluid into the gasket (air,gas,water) could have different shapes and characteristics according to customer’s needing.
